Violation: ravaging 41 olive trees.
Date: October 11, 2012.
Perpetrators: colonists of Migron.
Victim: Nitham Ma'tan.
On October 11, 2012, Israeli colonists cut and ravaged 41 trees in Ras al Aqaba area, northern Burqa. The trees are property of Nitham Ma'tan (56) of Burqa who said: 'my land has been targeted for years by colonists of Migron who launched a war against Palestinian lands and people under the name payback'.
Migron is a colonial outpost that was built over lands of Burqa village; it is inhabited by a bunch of radical Jews who belong to the so-called 'Kahana Hai' group which launched several attacks against the Palestinians in Burqa including the attacks signed by 'pay back' which included the torching of Burqa Mosque.
Despite the fact that the Israeli Supreme Court ordered the evacuation of the colonial outpost of Migron which is built over Palestinian private property the sentence did not stop the colonists who believe that these lands are part of the so-called 'historical Israel' and that Palestinians are not allowed to live in.
The Israeli government have been providing the colonists with protection and legal cover; the colonists committed over 60 attacks last year but the Palestinians complaints were brushed aside by the Israeli Occupation Authorities.
