Notices to stop work and demolish stone terraces and a piece of land east of Dura town, Hebron governorate

The violation details:

On February 9, 2022, the Israeli occupation authorities issued a final order to stop work and demolish stone terraces in a plot of land owned by Mrs. Khitam Abdel Hai Al-Rajbi, under the pretext that they were built without a permit.

Al-Rajbi stated that she inherited a 4- dunum plot of land from her father, located in the “Abu Al-Ashush” area, east of Dura town. As soon as she has gotten it reclaimed and rehabilitated the Israeli occupation authorities issued a military notice asking her to halt work processes under the pretext of un-licensing. Mrs. Al-Rajabi planned to get part of the land cultivated with trees and the other part to be used for the construction of a family house, but all her plans were foiled after she had found the stop-work notice thrown in her land whose number is 30696 and dated 12/01/2022. The notice set 12/01/2022 as a date for a session of the so-called Inspection Subcommittee to be held at its headquarters in the settlement of “Beth El” to discuss what it always calls “the demolition of the structure or the restoration of the place to its previous state”.

After the lady had found the work suspension notice, she prepared the necessary file for licensing, proved her ownership of  the land, worked out the necessary engineering plans, applied for the license, and assigned a lawyer to object to the occupation notice and follow up on the matter. However, the occupation authorities returned to the site and placed a notice entitled “Final order to stop work and demolition”, bearing the number (62082), in which it demanded the demolition of what has been built within a period of 7 days, and threatened if the owner did not carry out the demolition process, that it would implement the demolition order, incurring the owner the costs of the operation.

Al-Rajbi indicated that she supports a family of 10 people, including 8 children and amongst them there are 4 females. She said that she had dreamed of building her house on the plot of land that she inherited from her father in order to be able to  move from the small house in which she lives now to a spacious and new one, but the occupation authorities blew up her dream.
