Halt of Work Notice for Residential Structures in Suba west Dura / Hebron Governorate

Description:

In March 2nd 2022, The Israeli Occupation Authorities issued a halt of work notice for an agricultural room and a grot belong to citizen Maram Al-‘Uwaiwi , on the pretext of building without a license in Suba, northwest Dura at Hebron Governorate.

Affected citizen said that the notice was hanged on the room wall, entitled “halt of work and construction notice” , number (31158), under which the occupation authorities ordered the immediate stoppage of construction works , and sat March 23rd 2022 as the date of the inspection subcommittee in Beit El military court to decide the fate of the structure.

The notices targeted the following structures:

  • A structure built of stones: with a total area of 60 m2 , the owner built the room of stones and a steal sheets ceiling , it is used as a resting place for the family , and a store for agricultural tools.
  • A grot in the ground: With a total area of (30 m2) , and belong to citizen ‘Uwaiai who lives in Hebron city , but owns a plot of land in Suba area that they rehabilitated and planted with fruitful crops.

Located to the west of Dura town, with a total area of 2,942 dunums, of which 21.7 dunums are a built-up area, with a population of 200 people. Suba village is rich with underground water; however the Israeli Occupation prohibits Palestinian from using this fortune, especially during summer when most Palestinians are struggling for water.
