Agricultural Facilities targeted in Yatta and Bani Na’im south Hebron

  • Victims: Farmers from Yatta and Bein Na’im.

Description:

April 12th 2021, the Israeli Occupation waged a confiscation campaign targeting agricultural properties in several locations around Yatta and Bani Na’im south Hebron, on the pretext of building without a license.

Susiya village:

About 9:00 am, An army force and a vehicle from the Building and Organization department at the so-called “The  Israeli Civil Administration” raided the village , and headed to an agricultural tent that belong to citizen Ghalib Shamesti west the village , which he had built to rest under during the approaching harvesting season, the occupation forces dismantled the tent and put it on a truck.

The Occupation forces demolished a tent with a total area of (35 m2) set on a metal body, and granted by Action Aid organization without any preceding notices.

At-Tawameen area:

The Occupation forces headed to At-Tawameen area- East Susiya village- where citizen Barakat Murr is living at his plot in an old cave rehabilitated many years ago, and destroyed the cave’s door.

Noteworthy, the occupation authorities confiscated construction materials Al-Murr was using to rehabilitate the cave (his residence). Illegal colonists on the other hand carried out many attacks targeting the cave. They also cut hundreds of trees from his plot, as “Sosiya” and “Mitzpe Ya’er” colonies are built onn confiscated lands nearby.

Yaqeen area:

The Occupation Authorities went to Yaqeen area south Bani Na’im, and got to a plot belong to Al-Birawi family, where they confiscated another tent, with a total area of 30 m2 set on a metal body.

Noteworthy, Farmers from Al-Birawi family set up the tent on their farmland, to rest under it during their long working days, the occupation confiscated the tent without any preceding notices.
