Israeli troops uproot and confiscate 50 olive saplings / Khallet Al-Dabe’a East Yatta/ Hebron governorate

Description:

In February 27th 2019, The Israeli occupation authorities uprooted and confiscated 50 olive saplings from a plot belongs to Jaber Dababsa in Khallet Ad-Dabe’a.

Dababsa (32) said that an army force supported by a vehicle from the civil administration and a bulldozer raided Khallet Ad-Dabe’a , and headed to his property , then  carried on uprooting 50 olive saplings ,  loaded them into a civil administration truck and  confiscated them.

The occupation authorities claim  that the targeted land is a “State’s property”, while in fact it belongs to Dababsa who inherited it from his grandfather.

Noteworthy, the occupation authorities issued an eviction order in (18/2/2019) on Ad-Dababsa land, the military order gave him 72 hours to return the plot to its previous status  (uproot the saplings).

It is important to mention, during the last year the occupation authorities demolished a school in Khallet Ad-Dabe’a .

It is obvious that he occupation authorities are escalating their attacks against people of Khallet Ad-Dabe’a  , in an attempt to push them out of the area , and keep it as a colonial reserve.

Farmers from the area said that “Havat Talia” settlers have been carrying out several attacks against their farms. And in 15/3/2019, The fanatic settlers uprooted 5 carob saplings from Othman Abu Qubaita land.

About Khallet Al-Dabe’a[1]:

It is located to the east of Yatta town and is considered one of the communities of the Masafer Yatta area. The hamlet populates 100 residents, who live off of agriculture and livestock husbandry.

Khallet Al-Dabe’a is run by Masafer Yatta village council. The hamlet is linked to Yatta town by an unpaved road.
