Serving a Stop-Work order on a facility in Haris / Salfit governorate

 

  • Violation: serving a halt of work order targeting an automobile repair shop.
  • Location: Haris village / North west Salfit city.
  • Date: 28/01/2019.
  • Perpetrator: the Israeli occupation building and organizing committee.
  • Victims: Abdul Rahman Dawoud family.

Description:

Israeli occupation forces raided Haris village , and served  a military order to Abdul Rahman Mohammad targeting his automobile repair shop.

Military order number (206518) said that 25 Feb 2019 will be the date of the subcommittee session to discuss the fate of the notified structures in “Beit El” military court.

The targeted structure is built of zinc and has an area of 24 m2 and located close to the bypass road.

Abdul Rahman told LRC reporter:

“This shop is the source of income for my family of 6 . I received a halt of construction military order in 2017 , and assigned JLAC to follow up the case in the Israeli courts, but the occupation won’t leave me and my family live in peace”.

7km to the northwest of Salfit governorate, Haris is there with a total land area of 8769 dunums, of which 190 are the built-up area. Haris is surrounded by the villages of Deir Istiya from the north, Kifl Haris from the east, Kfar ad-Deek  and Bruqin from the southwest and Qarawat Bani Hassan from the west.

Haris has a total population of 3740 people according to the census of Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics for 2009. Those people relate to the following families: Abu Atta, Dawoud, Salamih, Sultan, Shihada, Souf, Faz’, Awwad, Qasim, and Klaib
