Stop-work orders on agricultural and residential establishments in Duma village

Details:

Israeli Occupation Forces  and a staff from Civil Administration raided on May 25, 2016 Duma village, 34km to the southeast of Nablus city and delivered stop-work orders on residential and agricultural establishments on the claim of "unlicensed construction" within area classified "C" according to Oslo Accords.

The military orders gave the affected owners a deadline until June20 , 2016 to complete all licensing procedures. This comes in time with the hearing session of the Inspection Sub-Committee in the Israel court of Beit El colony in order to consider the legal status of the notifies structures.

It should be marked that the orders targeted two agricultural roads as follows:

  1. A 600m road that serves the area known as Al-Shajara in addition to 120 dunums of pastures. The road is provided with electricity grid (seven poles and cables.
  2. A 900m road that serves the area known as Al-Oqdeh in addition to 150 dunums of pastures. The road is provided with electricity grid ( nine poles and cables).

About Duma Village

Duma village is located 24 km to the southeast of Nablus city, and is bounded by Majdal Bani Fadil village to the north, Jordan Valley to the east, Khirbet Mughayyir to the south, Qusra and Jalud villages to the west. Duma has a total built-up area of 200 dunums where its area totals around 18000 dunums.

The village has a total population of 3400 residents (PCBS – 2011). Residents of Duma depend on plantation of fruitful trees such like olive and other different summer crops in addition to poultry and sheep husbandry

According to the village council of Duma, around 17 agricultural and residential structures are notified with stop-work since the year of 2008 in Duma village.
