Two demolition orders on residential buildings in Jabal Al-Taweel area:

Planning and Construction Committee- Israel Civil Administration delivered the family of Fawwaz Qur'an an order stating "additional opportunity to object to demolition". The order targeted a residential building (6 apartments) and stated a three day deadline for the demolition process.

According to the testimony of citizen Qur'an, the first floor of the building was first built in 1960, where the other two floors were constructed in 2002 and 2003. The owner obtained a license from Al-Bireh municipality as the location is founded in area A, which is within the borders of the municipality. Noteworthy, the occupation served the demolition order on the claim that the building is constructed in area C.

Qur'an building received a stop-work order in 2010, demolition order in 2014 and another demolition order with "additional opportunity to object demolition" in 2017.

Two hundred meters from Qur'an building, Israeli Occupation Forces issued  a demolition order on the residence Mohammad Ishtaiwy on the claim of "unlicensed construction". The order stated a three day deadline for the demolition process.

It should be noted that the targeted structure is a two story building and is of 800m2 in area. With six commercial stores built beneath the apartments, the building was constructed in 1998. Israeli Occupation Forces issued a stop-work order on the building in 1999 and issued another demolition order on it in 2001.

It should be noted that the area of Jabal Al-Taweel is located within the natural block number 22 from the lands of Al-Bireh city of Ramallah governorate. Al-Taweel mountain is adjacent to Pesagot colony, which caused endless harassments on the area's residents.
