Israeli Occupation Forces demolish a park and confiscate two water tanks in Qalqiliya governorate

Details:

 A massive force from Israel occupation army, two dozers and military trucks raided the area northeast Qalqiliya governorate, which is 300 meters away from Tsofim colony and carried out a demolition on a park (150 dunums) that belongs to citizen Mohammad Dawoud . Noteworthy, the targeted area is used as a private park for the family.

It should be marked that Israeli occupation authorities justified the demolition on the claim of "unlicensed construction" within area classified "C" according to Oslo Accords. Israeli Occupation Forces claimed leaving a Stop-Work order by the park a year ago. The owner denied that claim.

According to Land Research Center field follow up on the area, the following damages were reported:

  1. Demolition of two green houses (130 m2 each)
  2. Demolition of a shed (60m2)
  3. Demolition of cottage (20m2)
  4. Demolition of wooden kitchen (2m2)
  5. Demolition of metal gate (6m)
  6. Demolition of five surveillance cameras
  7. Demolition of two water tanks (1m3 each)
  8. One mobile room (6m2)
  9. Uprooting five vine trees

It should be marked that the Israeli Occupation Forces also confiscated two water tanks (10m3) and moved them to Tsofim colony through military trucks. The owner was served a minute of confiscation as a result.

It is reported, according to the affected owner, that the losses are estimated of 100,000 NIS. The park was established two years ago to be a breather for the family (50 members)

The area of northeast Qalqiliya is highly and frequently targeted by the occupation that works hard to evacuate it in all possible means. Most of the agricultural rooms in there are threatened of demolition by the occupation.
