Israel Nature Authority confiscates sheep herd from Jinba hamlet in Hebron

Details:

 The so-called Israel Nature Authority on April 03, 2016 confiscated sheep herd owned by citizens Jihad Abu Sabha and Aayed Mur while grazing the cattle in pastures relative to both shepherds to the south of Jinba hamlet in the area of Masafer Yatta.

 It should be marked that "Green patrols" relative to Israel Nature Authority raided the pastures of the aforementioned shepherds, confiscated a herd of 300 sheep and moved them to the hamlet of "Al-Qarytein" that is occupied and located within the boundaries of the armistice line. The herd was detained for an hour before being moved to the Jericho area of Fasayil to be detained there.

After many attempts at restoring the herd, the owners managed to get the sheep back but after paying a fine of 16,362 NIS. Not only, the owners had to pay 3000 NIS as per the cost of moving the sheep by trucks.

According to the shepherds, Israeli occupation authorities claimed that the herd was present in an area classified as "Natural Reserve", which is controlled and administered by Israel Nature Authority.

It should be marked that the herd is considered a main source of income for two families of 33 members including 18 children.
