The Israeli occupation demolished an under construction house in Hebron

 

Violation: demolishing a house

Details:

The Israeli occupation forces demolished on January 14, 2016 the house of Ibrahim Abu Maria that is still under construction on the claim of “unlicensed construction” in the Hebron village of Beit Ummar.

Abu Maria (53) pointed out that a force from Israel Civil Administration accompanied by military dozer raided the village from the eastern side at 8:00 a.m. and embarked on demolishing the targeted house.

It should be marked that the demolished house was still in the construction phase; a cement foundation with some pillars are what were brought down. The 180m2 structure was to be home for Abu Maria’s 8 member family including two children.

It should be also marked that Israel Civil Administration served on July 29, 2015 a stop-work order on the same structure on the claim of unlicensed construction. Thus, Abu Maria prepared a legal file to obtain a building permit but the Civil Administration served on November 03, 2015 the constructions site a final demolition order.

It is reported that the attacking force ravaged the area and dumped earth on the construction materials (4m3 of wood) used at the site.
